Sound Devices Astral Mini Plus — The Astral Mini Plus is the latest evolution of Sound Devices’ compact wireless bodypack transmitter, building on the legacy of the original Astral Mini. IP67 waterproof and dustproof protection upgrades provide an extra layer of certified protection against sweat, humidity, and the elements across long shooting days and unpredictable exteriors. Battery runtime is 8+ hours on a single XL-B14500 rechargeable cell. Built-in USB-C port allows in-field top-offs without pulling the transmitter off talent.

A new expanded SpectraBand tuning range of 169-1525 MHz (compared to the 470-1525 MHz range of the original Mini). This is excellent for the ever-increasingly crowded RF environments. For productions that cross borders, the same hardware operates legally in any regulatory jurisdiction without modification, eliminating the need to carry or rent region-specific gear. GainForward architecture keeps all gain staging at the mixer or receiver, so there’s no reason to reach for the transmitter once it is on talent.

The Astral Mini Plus is also ideal fo live sound and theater, where its IP67 rating and long runtime are equally valued across multi-show runs and touring productions. A sunlight-readable ePaper display, tap-to-pair RFID setup, and integrated vibrate-to-locate function streamline multi-transmitter deployment in any environment. Full remote control via the Astral Remote app and NexLink ensures the transmitter is manageable from the cart or from the console. Compatible with the Astral ARX2, ARX8, ARX16, ARX32, and legacy A10-RX receivers.
