Just What You Need On Set: Joe's Sticky Stuff & Bongo Ties
Joe's Sticky Stuff
In an effort to help satisfy your every need on set, we’ve tracked down some simple, useful items. Joe’s Sticky Stuff and Bongo Ties are versatile new additions to our stores.
Sticky Stuff is an aggressive, pressure-sensitive adhesive tape that leaves no residue, won’t mar or damage most surfaces, and won’t get all over your hands. It’s great for mounting mics in cars, on walls, and even on fabric. Use it to keep small items in place on your cart as you move or keep a marker with the slate. The possibilities are endless. But best of all, the Stuff comes up with ease. In fact, it will shrink off most surfaces as you pull an end of the tape parallel to its application. There is no need for solvents or cleaners to remove left over residue.
Sticky Stuff comes in a handy tin (reusable and recyclable) keeping it wound and intact for when you need it. You’ll definitely want to keep an eye on your supply, however, because everyone on set from production to the art department will want to “borrow” it. When they ask, send them our way.

Bongo Ties
Bongo Ties are another must-have convenience with myriad uses. Natural rubber wound around a small wooden button is the entire physical description of this simple, sturdy item, yet it's potential to de-clutter your world is expansive. With Bongo Ties, you can wrangle cable chaos, quickly secure a tarp to your cart as rain moves in, or bind items together in your kit—and undo it all in short order. Bongo Ties can mount to your cables just as a Velcro tie might with the added bonus of being easily removable and impervious to water. This is another item prone to sprout legs, and, since they just look cool, look closely at your set mates. They're probably wearing a few. Bongo Ties are the new accessory that says, "I’m PRACTICAL-ly cool."
