SpeakEasy v4Bt Overview

The SpeakEasy™ v4BT is much like the v3b, with Blue Tooth connectivity and is bi-amped for higher fidelity. It is housed in a cast aluminum enclosure with a durable black finish. At under 5 pounds, the unit is small enough to hide on set and rugged enough to pack in a case with the rest of your gear.

Flexible Inputs
The back of the unit has the Blue Tooth indicators and controls and two combo jacks for connecting mic, line or instrument level inputs. The mic trim provides up to 40dB of amplification. The inputs are isolated from one another so they can be used at the same time. The battery compartment accepts two 9V batteries. A 2.1mm coaxial connector (center pin +) accepts external 9-18VDC. A circuit protects against reverse polarity.

Efficient Power
SpeakEasy powered speakers are very efficient. With an idle current drain of less than 100ma, the SpeakEasy™ v4BT will operate on a pair of 9V batteries up to 8 hours of intermittent use without Blue Tooth, or 4 hours, typically, with Blue Tooth in use. Typical intermittent use allows a pair of 9V batteries to last a full production day.

Lav Snake Overview

The Remote Audio Lav Snake has a sleek design that makes it the perfect tool to move through the most constricted spaces quickly and easily. It is made of a thin, nearly unbreakable wire that is 3.5 times thinner and lighter than competing products. The polished wire is flexible enough to move through bends in clothing yet strong enough to keep its shape through years of use.

One end of the Lav Snake has a highly visible, low profile red tip that slips easily through clothing. The opposite end has a TA connector with a specially designed boot. Its smooth, curved surface prevents unwanted snags.

Ease of Use
Because the Lav Snake is designed to slide down clothing bringing the connector behind it, it only needs to travel in one direction. Simply feed the tip through the clothing, routing it down then out. Once the tip is visible, pull the Lav Snake with the mic wire through the clothing, disconnect the microphone and you’re done. Say goodbye to bulky sticks or weights.

Compact Storage
The Lav Snake is easier to store than competing products. It can be coiled into a tight loop and placed in your pocket or the included zippered pouch. The pouch has a swivel clip that can be hooked on a belt loop or mixer bag.

Compatibility
The Lav Snake will mate with any TA female connector commonly used with lavalier microphones (e.g. Lectrosonics, Shure, etc). Adapters are also available for microphones terminated with a locking 3.5mm or Lemo connector.
