Rycote Softie-Lite Overview

The Rycote Softie-Lite is a Rycote slip-on fur covered screen, designed to perfectly compliment the Rycote INV-Lite shockmount Series with specific short Shotgun mics from Sennheiser, Schoeps, DPA & Sanken.

Making the most of the unique ‘cam-lever’ clamp of the INV-Lite, which grips the mic at the rear only, the compact Softie-Lite windshield allows for faster booming indoors, compared to a standard foam with results similar to our “Baseball”.

Useful for outdoors in very light winds – so it’s great for transitions, indoors to outdoors, in these conditions. [NOTE: not a substitute for Classic-Softies in more robust wind situations]

TWO MODELS:

  • 19mm version for the DPA 4017B & 4017C, Sanken CS-1e and Sennheiser MKH 8060
  • 21mm version is for the Schoeps MiniCMIT
