Spectera Overview

The future of wireless pro audio is here, and it’s bidirectional. Featuring up to 64 channels (32 in / 32 out) in a single unit, Spectera is the world’s first wideband, bidirectional digital wireless ecosystem, providing audio professionals with unparalleled capability and flexibility. Spectera’s 11 Audio Link modes give you unprecedented control of latency, audio quality and more for each link, while its bidirectional bodypacks manage both in-ear monitor and mic/line signals simultaneously.

At the heart of Spectera is Sennheiser’s remarkable wireless multichannel audio technology (WMAS) and its unique modulation and multiplexing capabilities, which make Spectera vastly more resistant to dropouts and RF fading than narrowband systems. Spectera also features built-in redundancy where it matters most: redundant power supplies, redundant Dante and optional redundant MADI audio I/O, and the ability to connect multiple antennas for redundancy, additional zone coverage, or additional spectrum capacity.

License Information

The Base Station must be activated with a free-of-charge License for the zone of the certified country. The license activation of the Base Station takes place through the LinkDesk software. A Spectera system is operational only after the Base Station has been activated with a license. This ensures reliable performance in compliance with regulatory standards. Each Base Station requires its own individual, device-specific license to become operational.

The License technically defines parameters such as frequency range (start and end range), transmission power, and transmission bandwidth (6 MHz or 8 MHz, depending on local regulations). Regulatory certifications determine which of these parameters can be used in any given country.

Please note, you cannot use multiple licenses for international usage or run multiple licenses on a single Base Station. Spectera employs a single node-based license tied to a specific device, which restricts feature activation and use to that device alone. Re-licensing is not offered.

The appropriate system license should be ordered with each Base Station purchase. A license code will be sent via email after the purchase.

It is the responsibility of the user to inform themselves about the current local regulatory and certification requirements and to comply with them when using wireless systems.
