VDB Finger Control Surface 12 — Compact 12-channel control surface for Sound Devices 8-Series recorders. This USB controller is designed for the most demanding productions, thanks to its aluminum and PA-12 nylon chassis. It has 12 channels with trims (with end stops) on rotary potentiometers, dust-proof faders, and PFLs.

The Finger 12 is available in two versions, tailored to the fader resistance preferred by the operator to best suit their preferences and working conditions:

• SOFT version: Smooth faders designed for responsiveness and speed
• FIRM version: Faders with resistance for precise, fine-tuned control

Product Overview

The interface has dedicated commands for record, stop, slate mic and a shortcut for arming and disarming individual tracks. PFL and Arm status for all tracks, Rec/Stop, and Slate mic status are displayed using LEDs on the front panel of the controller. It also offers a rotary master fader, that can be mapped to any bus or output of the 8-Series Mixer-Recorder, and 5 custom buttons that can be assigned to various functions including Com Send/Returns, Circle/false take, or assigning faders to buses or outs.

The 12 channels of the FCS-12 make it particularly suited for bag use with the 888 or Scorpio, on productions where the 12 available tracks are necessary. The FCS-12 uses the MIDI MCU protocol, and is compatible with most DAWs for studio use.

Additionally, the design of this control surface allows users to easily replace the faders, whether for new ones or to customize their setup.
